“The food is great… Pizza are good, especially the gourmet pizza, like Pizza Barese…yummy! The Italian food is to die for, I love the Chicken Lemon and the Zereshk Polo on the Persian menu is so good, one of the first Persian dishes I have ever tried. The waiters Max & Daryl are the best, also so nice and helpful….explains the different dishes perfectly. All in all a great dining experience…..” – La Guerita
“Among my favorite dishes are the Barg (Filet Mignon) kabob, Chicken Marsala. A must for anyone curious about Persian food or anyone who likes Italian food, which is probably everyone. The waiters are terrific and very sociable.” – Anony
“Hank’s Bistro, at 14406 S Hawthorne Blvd in Lawndale CA, not far from LAX, was recommended to our group of six by our hotel staff and we are so glad we went. The owner, Reza, and his staff are welcoming, warm-hearted people whose sole purpose is to make you feel welcome and feed you well. We all had Italian dishes which were absolutely delicious. The portions were so generous that we could have ordered three less meals and still gone home full!! Prices are extremely reasonsable with most dinners ranging around the $12 mark. Truly, this place is a gem; you will not walk away hungry or dissatisfied. Great for families, especially those on a budget.” – Shipmate4
“Was recommended by hotel and did not disappoint. Good Italian menu and great Persian food. Ordered kabobs. Very tender meat, not over flavored. Under $20 with tip for locally owned great food. Highly recommend.” – Goskiing
“I was very excited to find this good Persian restaurant in the South Bay — especially when I found out they deliver. The restaurant also serves Italian dishes, but I can’t really comment on those since I only ever order from the Persian menu.
The chicken barg is very tender and flavorful, as is the beef kubideh (especially when paired with the yogurt/cucumber salad). We also enjoy the tadeeg and stews. The soups are amazing.” – Ailee
“Located in a large corner shopping center with plenty of parking, this place has a lot of tables and is nice place with table cloths, linen napkins and plastic coke brand drinking cups. This place was originally Hank’s Pizza and then the owner decided to add Persian food and now they have basically two menus from two different nations.
There was a large party enjoying the Persian food and it looked great. I was solo, so I went for the small deluxe pizza. It was pretty good. It’s not NY or Chicago. It’s in-between. Let’s call it a Cleveland Pizza. A lot of goodies on the deluxe. The sauce was just right and the cheese tasted really fresh. The crust was also just right. Slightly crispy on the bottom with a nice chewy texture. Pretty good pizza for about $11. I will come back and try the Persian food. It looked outstanding.” – David
